Grill Mates Southwest Marinade


I tried the Grill Mates Southwest Marinade last night on a couple of New York steaks. I let the steaks marinade for approx 3 hours. I also grilled some red potatos with onions, lemon juice, butter and lemon pepper. The marinade smelled great but ended up being the wrong taste for my steaks. The Grill Mates Southwest marinade would definelty be better for flank, sirloin, round or skirt steak.

You can also use this seasoning for a dry rub. Southwest Dry Rub: Combine marinade mix with 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Rub on pork ribs, loin roast or chicken. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Grill, broil, or bake.
